My paintings are colourful and looser interpretations of the Scottish landscape, often within Wester Ross. I try to capture something of how I feel about the joy, romance and folk history of being in those places.

Current & Recent Exhibitons

Sarah has exhibited in both solo and group shows, mostly at the Gairloch Museum. Her work is featured in many private collections. Sarah’s recent exhibitions include:

About Sarah Milteer

Sarah Milteer is an Edinburgh-based Scottish painter with a lifelong artistic practice spanning over 50 years. She works primarily in acrylic and oil on wood panel and canvas.

Her paintings are deeply rooted in personal and family history, drawing inspiration from the distinctive landscapes and communities of the Scottish Highlands, particularly the Gairloch area and Wester Ross.

Sarah studied at the Glasgow School of Art, graduating with a Bachelor of Art with Honours degree in Fine Art Photography in 1992.
